Layerd (the “app”) is a personal digital closet app. This document explains what information the app handles and where it goes. In short:

The app has no account system and no server. All of your data is stored on your device. The developer does not collect or store any personal information.

1. Information we do not collect

• No account or sign-up; the app never asks for your name, email, or phone number.
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA) and no tracking technologies.
• No analytics or crash-reporting tools.

2. Information stored only on your device

All of the following is recorded only in the app’s private storage on your device and is never sent to the developer or any server:

• Photos and details of your registered clothes (category, color, brand, …)
• Wear history, saved outfits, and OOTD (outfit of the day) photos and videos
• Statistics, badges, Wrapped recaps, and app settings

This data may be included in your iOS device backups (iCloud or computer backups) and is deleted when you delete the app.

iCloud backup & sync (optional, off by default)

If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, your clothing photos and details, wear/wash history, and saved outfits are backed up to your own private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit).

• The data lives only in your iCloud account’s storage; the developer cannot access it (there is no developer-operated server).
• It syncs across devices signed in to the same iCloud account and can be restored after reinstalling the app.
• Turning the feature off stops further backups. You can manage the data in iCloud from iOS Settings (Settings > Apple Account > iCloud).
• OOTD photos/videos and the Archive are not backed up to iCloud (device only).

3. Information sent externally (only two cases)

3-1. Weather lookup — Open-Meteo

For weather-based outfit recommendations, if you grant location permission, your device’s latitude and longitude are sent to the weather service Open-Meteo.

• The sole purpose is fetching the weather at your location.
• Your location is used only while using the app and is never sent to or stored by the developer.
• Open-Meteo’s handling of requests is governed by the Open-Meteo terms.
• If you decline location permission, everything except weather-based recommendations still works.

In the Travel assistant, when you search for a destination, the city name you type, plus the latitude/longitude and travel dates of the destination you pick, are sent to the same Open-Meteo services (geocoding, forecast, and historical weather) to fetch that area’s weather. Your current location and no personal information are involved, and travel plans are stored only on your device.

3-2. Contact form — Google Forms

When you send feedback via “Contact Us” in the app, only two things — the inquiry type and the message you wrote — are delivered to the developer through Google Forms.

• No email address or device information is attached (anonymous submission).
• Please avoid including personal information in your message.
• Submissions are used solely to respond to inquiries.

Each permission is requested only when you use the related feature, and the rest of the app works if you decline.

5. Children’s privacy

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
